The second edition of the textbook on business model analysis was released by publishers Prof. Dr. Dirk Heithecker of Hannover University and Dennis Tschuschke of VW Bank in November 2019. The work, published by the Heidelberg Finance Lecturing Institute, is especially concerned with business model analysis for financial institutions with regard to supervisory requirements in SREP.
Under the heading of ”Business and the trend towards digital technologies in customer analysis“, our colleagues Ewa Giera, Sarah Holzgräfe and Lisa Stolz investigate the extent to which systematic evaluation of customer data is supported in present business models within the financial industry and the question of whether new business models can be developed. In particular, the authors are looking for common features and differences in data driven concepts of other industries, such as leading providers in the field of eCommerce, and seek to examine co-operation between Big Tech companies and international financial service providers.
